Hallo Susi,

ich fass' es noch mal zusammen:

το έλεος = das Erbarmen

" Έλεος! " kann ironisch auch soviel bedeuten wie "Hilfe!" auf Deutsch, wenn sich z.B. jemand gerade halb totlacht. Wörtlich bedeutet es natürlich "Erbarmen!".

In bestimmten Fällen wird έλεος so gebraucht wie das deutsche Wort "Gnade" (bzw. "Gnade und Ungnade") in genau diesen speziellen Fällen. Z.B.:

αφήνομαι στο έλεος κάποιου - sich jemandem auf Gnade und Ungnade ausliefern


Das Verb zu έλεος lautet ελεώ.

ελεώ κάποιον = mit jemandem Erbarmen haben

ελέησον ist der altgriechische Imperativ (Befehlsform) des Verbs. Somit hätten wir:

Altgr.: Ελέησον ημάς.
Neugr.: Ελέησε εμάς.
Deutsch: Erbarme dich unser.

Fehlt nur noch Κύριε davor, um die Kirchenphrase komplett zu haben:

Κύριε ελέησον (ημάςWink - Herr, erbarme dich (unser).
