Hallo aus Lefkada.
Kann mir jemand sagen, ob es einen qualitativen Unterschied macht, wenn man die Oliven direkt vom Baum pflückt, oder von abgesägten Ästen.
Bei uns sind beide Methoden üblich. Manche sagen aber, man sollte den Rückschnitt erst im März, kurz vor dem Austrieb machen.

also hier in zante wird das zusammen erledigt,grundsaetzlich,
wuerde ich sagen....

zuerst das was freigeschnitten wird, abgesaegt und davon dann die oliven runtergeklopft.

habe jedenfalls noch nie gesehen das NACH der ernte rueckschnitt gemacht wird.

Echt?
Mir erzählen auch alle was anderes.
Bin gerade selbst bei der Ernte, was überraschenderweise körperliche Schwerstarbeit ist, und muss mal eben Pause machen.
Wenn ich nun die Aeste einfach abschneiden könnte, waers einfacher... wenn ich nun noch wüsste, welche...

Na, bis Ende November war ich fast immer da.... allerdings muessen wir dieses jahr tatsaechlich abwechselnd hierbleiben; unser Kampfhund wird 13 und will die Fahrt nicht mehr machen, schon gar nicht in Hamburg Treppen steigen mit den morschen Knochen. Hier hat sie ein paar tausend qm fuer sich und 10 Katzen zum drauf aufpassen, das ist der verdiente Ruhestand.

Ich bleibe also bis Ende Dezember hier und fahre dann, das ist gerecht - meine Liebste darf gut deutsch Weihnachten feiern, dafuer erspare ich mir die Januarstuerme Wink
Anyway; wo ich schonmal hier bin, dachte ich, koennte man mit den Oliven auch mal was sinnvolleres machen als sie am Boden verrotten zu lassen. Und mein Agrarberater kommt erst naechste Woche....
